RC Geezers

The first Touch Club in Switzerland

History

RC Geezers: there's a name to conjure with. So, what's it all about? In a nutshell, RC Geezers is a group of people who enjoy sport and having a laugh. There is no better way to do both those things than being in a club.

The whole "RC Geezers" thing began in the summer of 2001 when a certain "geezer" (a colloquial term for a guy) decided to run the Dublin marathon. This geezer persuaded a pal to go training with him every Thursday lunchtime. The geezer's pal then brought his friend along and RC Geezers was born. From these humble beginnings RC Geezers membership grew and the club started to participate in running events all over Switzerland.

The next major milestone in RC Geezer history was the formation of the touch rugby section in the autumn of 2003. By this stage the club had taken on a dynamism all of its own and membership of the touch club (both guys and girls) soared in almost no time at all. We now play twice a week all year round and new members are always welcome.

The success of Geezers touch rugby has persuaded us to go public. If you want to join us on this journey it's up to you to become a "Geezer"!
