Switzerland won the bi-annual Touch Rugby Mainland Cup for the first time in their history, overcoming Austria, Belgium, France, Holland, Germany and Wales.

The Men’s team won the Open Division remaining unbeaten throughout and culminating in a nerve racking extra time victory in the Final against determined and gritty Holland.

The Women’s team placed third in their division, which meant that the Swiss squad's combined points total resulted in the Mainland Cup making its journey South for the first time. This represents a massive achievement for this amateur sport in Switzerland
